The piece
The story of Undaria pinnatifida in Golfo Nuevo, told as a film you move through: the spore arriving in a ship's ballast, the pier where a diver found it in 1992, the spread, the shade under the forest, the harvest that opens clearings, the drying, the table and the living gulf.

One HTML file and 43 hand-written shaders. There isn't a single video: every frame is drawn in the browser as you scroll, and what happens depends on how you move. The clips on this page are recordings of the piece running, not renders.
